Gomalo's bas–relief sculpture
A bas–relief sculpture was a type of sculpture. One such example was crafted by the Rodian slaver Gomalo; it depicted a Tynnan, a Tarasin, a Rodian, and a Twi'lek, all of whom wore the logo of the swoop gang dubbed the Dark Star Hellions. The art did not depict real individuals, but was in fact a coded map referring to planets along the Corellian Run—Tynna, Cularin, Rodia, and Ryloth respectively. A fifth star marked the location of a nebula in which Gomalo had secreted the carbonite–frozen body of Jedi Knight Ji-Ad Sarain. The sculpture came into the possession of Tynnan industrialists Cham and Nog Teleus; however, it was stolen. Cham and Nog kept a holographic image of the piece as insurance, despite the fact that they did not consider it particularly worthy. Following the rescue of Sarain, Cham and Nog awarded his rescuers miniature datapad–sized copies of the sculpture, along with two hundred credits each for returning most of their art collection.[1]
