Not many years before 21 BBY,[2] the Mirialan Jedi youngling Barriss Offee was a member of an Initiate clan within the Jedi Order. The clan was based at the Jedi Temple on[1] the Core Worlds planet[3] Coruscant. At one point, the clan wandered through the high archways and trimmed courtyards of the Temple's Great Hall. In the evenings while part of the clan, the Mirialan lingered on mezzanines so she could stare in wonder at Coruscant's horizon, which was full of skyscrapers and streams of air traffic.[1]
By 22 BBY,[4] Offee had become a Jedi Padawan.[1] In 21 BBY,[2] as Offee walked through the Jedi Temple, she mentally recalled when her clan had wondered through the Great Hall, and noted that she had marveled at the giant pillars and grand statues within it.[1]
Behind the scenes
Barriss Offee's Initiate clan was mentioned in "A Jedi's Duty," a short story written by Karen Strong and published in the 2022 anthology Stories of Jedi and Sith.[1]
