"Submitted to Divo anonymously, as a tardy addendum to his research into podracing-related crimes, was a hologram that alleges to answer the mystery of whatever became of Neva Kee, rising star of the Baroonda Circuit."
―Exantor Divo, Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious[1]

The Baroonda Circuit was a podracing course[1] that shared its name with the city Baroonda, where the Rawani Cup podracing event was held.[2] It also shared its name with the astronomical object Baroonda in the Outer Rim Territories.[3] At the time of his disappearance during the 7945 C.R.C. Boonta Eve Classic podrace, the Xamster podracer Neva Kee was considered the rising star of the Baroonda Circuit according to the author Exantor Divo.[1]

A hologram supposedly showing what had happened to Kee during the race was sent to Coruscant Security Force Inspector Tanivos Divo and was later included alongside a mention of the Baroonda Circuit in the book Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which was written by Exantor, who was Tanivos's grandson,[1] and published in 34 ABY.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Baroonda Circuit was mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The circuit also shares its name with the Star Wars Legends planet Baroonda, which first appeared as the location of several podracing courses in the 1999 video game Star Wars: Episode I Racer.[5]
