- "Wonderful food!"
- ―Max Rebo comments on bantha kabobs
A bantha kabob was a dish made with cooked bantha meat that was edible by Ortolans.[1] Around 4 ABY,[2] the Ortolan musician Max Rebo enjoyed several bantha kabobs—a food he had never had before—in a restaurant on the planet Tatooine. He initially started with one but was so impressed with the kabobs' flavor that he had a waiter bring him two more, admiring the meat's perfect cook that resulted in shades of pink, gray, and yellow as well as delightfully sharp–tasting grease.[1]
Behind the scenes
Bantha kabobs appeared in "And the Band Played On: The Band's Tale," a short story written by John Gregory Betancourt and published in the Tales from Jabba's Palace story collection in 1995.[1]
