- ―Anakin Skywalker ordering bantha formation
Shadow Squadron employing bantha formation
Bantha formation was a starship maneuver in which a group of ships flew in a single-file line. When Shadow Squadron attempted to pass the Kaliida Nebula during the Battle of the Kaliida Nebula[2] in 22 BBY,[3] they stumbled upon a swarm of Neebrays. In order to evade the giant leviathans, Anakin Skywalker ordered the fighters to fly in bantha formation.[2]
