The Bantha III was a model of open-topped, lightweight repulsorlift cargo skiff produced by Ubrikkian Industries. The skiffs were sufficiently large in size to carry a young Hutt and bore smooth lines, making them similar in appearance to other Ubrikkian pleasure-craft models.[1]
In 19 ABY, Popara, the leader of the Hutt clan Anjiliac, had a partially-assembled Bantha III skiff put into the cargo hold of the Suwantek TL-1200 transport New Ambition. The Suwantek freighter, docked at landing pad X-13 in the spaceport of the planet Makem Te, was given by Popara to the Jedi archivist Mander Zuma and the spacers Reen Irana and Eddey Be'ray for an assignment to rescue Popara's son Mika on the quarantined planet Endregaad. Upon arrival in the city Tel Bollin, Endregaad's main settlement, Irana and Be'ray assembled the Bantha III skiff, which was then employed by the trio in their search for Mika.[1]
