Banda was a yellow-carapaced Chiggnash criminal who operated on Nar Shaddaa, the smuggler's moon of Nal Hutta, shortly after the rise of the Galactic Empire.[2]

In 19 BBY,[1] Banda was contacted by the Pacithhip docking bay attendant Shnozitskigante-maximilliana with a proposition to rob the incognito Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Nar Shaddaa, though Shnozitski demanded a fifty-one-percent fee for the information and mistook Banda for fellow Chiggnash Riley. A deal was struck, and Banda, sporting a squib tensor rifle and two crossed bandoliers, cornered the Jedi in one of the moon's back alleys, supported by Riley and a trio each of mind-controlled Gamorrean sows, Kyuzo go-zeki, and rabid frog-dogs. Refusing to give in, Kenobi drew his lightsaber and slew the frog-dogs, revealing himself to be a Jedi and subject to the Imperial bounty on their order. However, the Chiggnash and their warrior drones were then set upon by a pair of Dark Jedi. Banda and Riley were dismembered and disarmed by former Jensaarai Mei, who killed the Chiggnash as they begged for mercy.[2]

Behind the scenes

Banda appeared in the short story "Lone Wolf: A Tale of Obi-Wan and Luke" by Abel G. Peña.[2] Along with that of Riley, Banda's name forms an anagram of "Brian Daley," creator of the Chiggnash.[3]
