Banchock hand pies were a type of hand pie made with brown filling that were edible to humans. The pastries originated from the planet Synjax, where they were considered a delicacy.[1] In 4 ABY,[2] following Princess Leia Organa and Rebel Alliance General Han Solo's wedding, they enjoyed their honeymoon aboard the Star Cruiser Halcyon. While visiting the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, Solo asked a server what the hand pies were. The server dutifully informed him that the pastries were banchock hand pies from Synjax, procured to feature the local cuisine of the locations their cruise would be visiting.[1]
Solo ordered for six to be boxed up for him, and the server whisked away without reacting, despite the extravagance of the order.[1]
