Baltizaar was a Mid Rim planet and was part of the Galactic Republic in the years before the Clone Wars. It was located in the Corthenia sector.

History

In 33 BBY, prior to the Eriadu Trade Summit, the planet was hit by attacks from the Bando Gora, a coven of Force-worshipping assassins. After Baltizaar's Senator pledged the Senate's help, a Jedi task force was sent to the planet to deal with the cult, although military support was requested. Jedi Master Dooku criticized the Jedi High Council in a conversation with the Senator of Naboo, Palpatine for this.^[2]

The Jedi task force was subsequently decimated by the Bando Gora in a battle. Most of the surviving Jedi returned to Coruscant. Dooku's former Padawan Komari Vosa was presumed dead. She was captured by the Bando Gora and tortured. She eventually killed her torturers and took control of the cult.^[2]
