An office belonging to Viceroy Bail Organa of Alderaan was located at the royal palace.[2] It was destroyed by the Death Star's test firing during the Disaster.

The room, like many other rooms in the palace, had an old fashioned door that opened and closed by hand[3] and was roomy, with more than enough space for a desk, chairs, and an aquarium full of brightly colored sea creatures that Organa had installed in his office to keep his daughter Leia amused when she was a toddler.[2] The corridor leading to the office was the same one that lead to the royal library and was illuminated by candledroids.[3]
