The bachani was a species of flowering plant that the Ithorians intended to introduce to Telos IV in the Telosian Restoration Project. It had tall stalks, wide leaves, and purple blossoms. Bachani extract had medicinal properties that made the import and export of the plant within the Galactic Republic restricted. The illegal sale of bachani extract was a lucrative business amongst the criminal underworld.
