The BR-219 heavy blaster pistol was a model of heavy blaster pistol that was considered one of the most lethal blaster pistols on the market. The weapon was essentially a pistol conversion of the E-11 medium blaster rifle, but used a notoriously unstable mix of blaster gases that could cause it to explode.
Description
The BR-219 heavy blaster pistol was a model of short-ranged heavy blaster pistol that was essentially a pistol conversion of the E-11 medium blaster rifle made by BlasTech Industries. The weapon had a tubular frame with a wide body and a broad muzzle. The barrel was shortened, which necessitated reconfiguration of the weapon's XCiter and Galven-pattern in order for the weapon to maintain the bare minimum of beam cohesion.[1]
The overpowered blaster pistol used a proprietary mix of blaster gases which were notoriously unstable. Over time, this mix melted the weapons Galven circuity, which could lead to the weapon exploding. The BR-219 emitted a notoriously bright muzzle flash and loud cracking noise upon firing, abandoning any sense of subtlety.[1]
History
The BR-219 was considered one of the deadliest blaster pistols available during the Galactic Civil War and was available for purchase only directly from the factory, with any prospective buyer requiring an intense background check from the Galactic Empire's Imperial Security Bureau. The weapon was considered rare and cost 625 credits.[1]
