During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, an ST-series tactical droid, Commander Aut-O, commanded a large fleet deep within Separatist-controlled space. The fleet consisted of one Providence-class Dreadnought, at least five Recusant-class light destroyers, and at least three Separatist Gozanti-class cruiser variants.[1] In 20 BBY,[3] the fleet was infiltrated by a squad of Republic droids led by the Zilkin Colonel Meebur Gascon, who were sent to steal an encryption module from the Providence-class Dreadnought flagship to decipher an intercepted and encoded transmission of General Grievous and discover what the Confederacy was planning.[1]
Behind the scenes
The fleet first appeared, albeit unidentified, in "Secret Weapons,"[1] the tenth episode of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' fifth season, which originally aired on November 30, 2012.[4]
