Aurora's name (listed second) was among a list of prisoners at the prison near Ryloth

Aurora was an individual who lived during the High Republic Era.[1] By 229 BBY,[2] Aurora was imprisoned in a Galactic Republic prison near[1] the Outer Rim planet[3] Ryloth that was also located within the Nihil pirates' Occlusion Zone region of space.[1]

That year,[2] the Nihil captured the prison and a team led by a Zabrak evaluated the prison's inmates—including Aurora—to see if any were Nihil, or if any might be useful enough to be recovered. Afterward, at a meeting held at a Nihil fortress on[1] the Outer Rim planet Hetzal Prime,[3] the Zabrak mentioned the captured prison, and that their team had assessed the inmates. As the Zabrak spoke, a hologram was displayed showing Aurora's name written in[1] the Aurebesh script[4] alongside fellow prisoners Boolan and Xolein. Recognizing the name Boolan, Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro personally visited the prison and recruited Boolan into the Nihil.[1]

Behind the scenes

Aurora was mentioned in a hologram in the fourth issue of the 2023 comic miniseries Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight, released as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[5] The issue was written by Charles Soule and published by Marvel Comics on January 3, 2024.[6]
