An auditor was a financial position held by certain individuals in the Galactic Empire. Individuals with the position were evidently greatly feared by members of the Imperial hierarchy, being described by Leia Organa as the "credential equivalent of a stink bomb."[1]
At one point, Organa and Evaan Verlaine posed as Imperial auditors to gain safe access to Naboo in order to rescue a group of Alderaanian refugees that were being trafficked, with the former posing as "First Minister Solo."[1]
