During the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire, under the leadership of Governor Wilhuff Tarkin, sought to mine quadanium on the planet Agaris, establishing an Imperial compound there. However, the compound was attacked by the native Agarians, led by Hffrr, and persuaded to fight the Empire by the Graf family. The Agarians launched poisonous gas at the compound, driving the Imperials back to their ship, the ISD Executrix. Knowing Tarkin would launch an orbital bombardment, the Agarians and the Grafs fled the world, leaving it to the Empire.^[2]
