Attack at the Dragonfire Air Rally

An attack took place during the forty-eighth annual Dragonfire Air Rally on the planet Coruscant^[1] in around 58 BBY.^[2] The crime lord Cenevax, who ran an illegal gambling ring, made a deal with the Serennian racer Ramil wherein he would purposefully lose so that Cenevax's syndicate would profit from the bets placed on him. When it seemed Ramil was about to go back on the deal and win the race, Cenevax had his airspeeder sabotaged, and Ramil was severely injured in the crash. The corrupt Coruscant Security Force inspector Sartori, who worked for Cenevax, covered up the crime. Ramil's brother, the Jedi Master Dooku, who had been watching the race, investigated with his Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn, tracking Sartori to Cenevax's den. While interrogating Cenevax, Dooku learned that she had a contact on the Jedi Council and returned to confront its members, learning Master Yula Braylon had been blackmailed by the crime lord.^[1]
