The atomic engine was a type of atmospheric propulsion engine that was used as a power source in primitive vehicles. Repulsorlift engine manufacturers claimed that the advent of repulsorlift effectively rendered other engine types obsolete, including the atomic engine. However, atomic engines were still in use on less-developed worlds.[1]
