During the Imperial Era, a pontiff[2] of a religious cult[4] on Vincorba in the Expansion Region who was allied with the Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate was assassinated by three members of the Assassins Guild. The assassins—Gee-Ninety, Loriach, and Chilla Zin—were hired by the Sith assassin Ochi of Bestoon, a servant of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. The purpose of the mission was to test the three assassins in order for them to serve Vader in his quest against Crimson Dawn. Once the assassins successfully killed the pontiff, their escape aboard a landspeeder was stopped by Vader and Ochi, who recruited them.[2]
