The Aspiration was an MC75 Star Cruiser in the Rebel Alliance Navy. During its Alliance service, the Aspiration participated in a battle against a Victory-class Star Destroyer.

Characteristics

The Aspiration, an MC75 Star Cruiser of the MC series, had a length of 1,204.44 meters (3,951 ft 7 in) and a height of 435.56 meters (1,429 ft). At amidships, the Star Cruiser's hull was augmented by an armored collar. The collar's dorsal side supported a mast containing a suite for transmission of communications and a sensor cluster. An outrigger fin holding a bridge pod on its extremity was connected to the collar's ventral portion. At the stern, the Aspiration was equipped with four Gemon-15 sublight ion drives.[2] The starship was also armed with at least six starboard laser cannons and at least two proton torpedo launchers.[1]

History

During the Aspiration's Alliance career, the ship fought a battle against a Victory-class Star Destroyer. While the Star Destroyer was off the Aspiration's starboard side, the rebel cruiser engaged it with laserfire and proton torpedoes. The Aspiration scored multiple hits on the Star Destroyer's dorsal starboard hull between amidships and the aft, resulting in several fiery explosions.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Aspiration was first pictured, albeit unnamed, in "Profundity", an article published by Fantasy Flight Games on their website on January 3, 2018. The article advertised the Profundity Expansion Pack,[3] released on February 1 of the same year.[4] In the expansion pack, the Aspiration was identified as such on a card of the same name.[1]
