Artillery was a term that referred to medium and heavy weapons systems designed for long-range bombardment against ground infantry or even capital ships.[1] Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery was used by the Galactic Republic during the First Battle of Geonosis to destroy fleeing Trade Federation ships.[2]
