Armored grappler gloves were a type of armored glove consisting of a brown fabric glove with striated yellow armor covering the back of the hand and part of the lower arm. The starship mechanic Viano Thag wore a pair of armored grappler gloves[1] while working on devices just inside the gate of[2] the city Point Ueda on the planet Ueda[1] in 132 BBY[3] during the High Republic Era.[1]

Armored grappler gloves first appeared in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[4] They were then identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
