Arkuda was a rocky world located in the Arkuda system. It was situated in the Loop Worlds area of the Gordian Reach sector within the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The hyperlane known as the Junction-Tierell Loop connected Arkuda to the Gulvitch system and the Vallusk Cluster. Starships traveling along the hyperspace route frequently stopped at the Vallusk Cluster to recalibrate their navigation computers prior to making the jump to Arkuda. Arkuda was also linked by the Korphir Trace to the Korphir system.[1]
Situated near the nebula known as the Roil, Arkuda was known for its spectacular nighttime skies. It was the homeworld of the sentient Arkudan species.[1]
Behind the scenes
Arkuda was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-6.[1]
