Argent Dawn was a sculpture in honor of Jedi Thraymus Argent, found among Alderaan's Eastwind Manor garden statues[1] by 19 BBY,[2] when Bail Prestor Organa decided to have it warehoused. Organa's great-uncle had commissioned the art piece upon Argent's departure after a mission the Jedi undertook to investigate feuds and assassination attempts that thwarted House Prestor.[1]
It was an abstract metal rendering of Thraymus Argent, with odd blocks and silver spokes, as well as a plaque underneath that read "Argent Dawn." Bail Organa liked the piece, evoking fond memories of his time as a child when Argent was stationed at the manor. He liked what the sculpture represented, and enjoyed showing it to guests. Organa imagined a potential situation in which the Governor-General of the sector questioned him about the piece, and pictured friends his daughter Leia Organa playing in the garden and becoming curious about Argent Dawn.[1]

Argent Dawn appeared in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]

Star Wars: Edge of the Abyss on Penguin Books' official United Kingdom website (backup link) establishes the events of Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear take place thirteen years before the events of Reign of the Empire: Edge of the Abyss.
Rebecca Roanhorse (@rebeccaroanhorse) on Instagram (post): "Title and updated release date of my upcoming STAR WARS novel announced at SDCC. THE EDGE OF THE ABYSS takes place a year before Andor S1." (backup link) states that Edge of the Abyss takes place a year before the events of Andor Season 1, which are set in 5 BBY per the reasoning here. Therefore, the events of Edge of the Abyss must be set in 6 BBY, and the events of The Mask of Fear in 19 BBY.
