A force of Chiss starships of the Chiss Defense Fleet was commanded by Chiss Ascendancy Admiral Ar'alani.^[1] At some point by 27 BBY,^[2] the force participated in the battle against a small reconnaissance force of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet, in which the Chiss were victorious.^[1]
