In 7 BBY, the Galactic Empire annexed the planet Hargeeva after the discovery of mineral deposits in several mountain ranges. A garrison and refinery were established on the planet, commanded by Major Nial Pedrin. The planet's High King, Makintay, was appointed as the planetary governor.[1]
