- "I strongly recommend the renowned Twi'lek historian Amiy Rua'chi's study Twi'lek Culture and the History of Ryloth."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Amiy Rua'chi was a Twi'lek historian who authored the study Twi'lek Culture and the History of Ryloth.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] the historian Beaumont Kin strongly recommended Ruah'chi's study in[1] his[3] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire and called the author renowned when talking about how the Galactic Empire viewed the Twi'lek homeworld Ryloth as a liability.[1]
Behind the scenes
Amiy Rua'chi was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1] The character's name is a reference to[4] Amy Richau, another Star Wars author whom Kempshall thanked in the acknowledgements section of the book.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.

Amy Richau (@amyrichau) on Bluesky (post on December 7, 2024): "This hasn't been a hugely successful (or TBH fulfilling) year for me as a writer. But I snuck into a Star Wars book as a "renowned Twi'lek historian" & Wikipedia classified me in my entry as both a writer & encyclopedist! So I have really, really good ways of introducing myself at parties now." (backup link) (screenshot)
