Altair Wyeto

Altair Wyeto was a swooper who lived on the planet Tatooine. He was the boyfriend of Jess, a musician and waitress at Jabba's palace.^[1] In 2 ABY^[2] Wyeto accepted a chance to join the swoop circuits. Although he was willing to forgo his chance to stay with his girlfriend Jess, she insisted that he go. Promising to see each other again, Wyeto departed Tatooine for the Core Worlds.^[1]

Two years later, Wyeto returned to Tatooine to find Jess, and realized that she had been indentured into working for Jabba Desilijic Tiure at his palace. He attempted to buy her freedom, and when he was denied, he found Jess and told her to escape with him. Jess refused, afraid that Jabba would have them hunted down, so Wyeto told her that he would wait in Mos Espa and take care of her ailing father, Willux.^[1]

A short time later, Willux would pass away. When Jabba was out on his sail barge, Jess escaped the palace and arrived in Mos Espa. She eventually learned that Jabba had perished and located Wyeto. The two then left together.^[1]
