The Almakar sector included the Almakar system,[2] a part of the Slice portion of the Inner Rim.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Almakar sector was mentioned in "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article written by Glen Allison as a supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in Voyages SF 13. The article placed the Aldo Spachian (spelled as the "Aldo Spachi" system), Almakar, Dagobah, Kestel, Mon Torri, and Stic systems in the sector.[2]

Since that article was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process,[2] it was considered non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas has since instead placed the Aldo Spachian, Dagobah, Kestel, Mon Torri, and Stic systems in other sectors.[4]

Lucasfilm treats material from the various unlicensed roleplaying game magazines as non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity, with the only exceptions being the existence of those worlds and star systems that are referenced in The Essential Atlas and its StarWars.com Online Companion, and any other details that were referenced in, and thus canonized by, an official source.
