Plot summary

"WE'RE ALL THE REPUBLIC!"
―Keeve Trennis, to a member of the Nihil[3]

On the planet Gallimere, close to the Nihil Occlusion Zone, Jedi Master Keeve Trennis is following up on a report suggesting a Jedi had been seen there. Speaking with Jedi Knight Terec, they discuss the possibility that it could be Avar Kriss since she hasn't been heard from for months. In the distance, Keeve hears a lightsaber and begins moving to the area. Keeve discovers a Storm walker and a member of the Nihil firing at the suspected Jedi. Keeve jumps into action, slaying the Nihil and cutting the legs of the Storm walker off. Keeve continues to be attacked by more Nihil, but eventually finds the wielder of the lightsaber to only be a civilian who had found the weapon after a battle. The human took up the weapon to spread hope throughout the people. Feeling guilty, the man apologises for what he has done, but Keeve begins to tell him he has nothing to apologise for and is shot by a member of the nihil. About to execute Keeve, the civilian distracts the Elomin, allowing for him to throw the recovered lightsaber to her and kill the Nihil follower. Confirming she was alright, Keeve keeps the lightsaber, and tells the man that they do not need lightsabers to serve the light, they only need hope.
