Alderaanian peacocks were peacocks[1] that shared their name with Alderaanians, residents of the Core Worlds planet Alderaan.[2] In 231 BBY,[3] the Nihil Tempest Runner Pan Eyta told fellow Tempest Runners Lourna Dee and Zeetar the secret of how Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro acquired his Paths—highly usable hyperspace routes that could only be used by ships with Path engines. Dee was surprised and felt she now understood why Eyta had been strutting around like an Alderaanian peacock for the last months, wondering what other intel he had gathered.[1]
Behind the scenes
Alderaanian peacocks were mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[4]
