- "ID confirmed, sir. Alderaan Trade Alliance."
- ―An Imperial crew member, to Captain Elk
The Alderaan Trade Alliance was an organization active during the Imperial Era that shared a name with[1] the Core Worlds planet Alderaan.[2] In 5 BBY,[3] rebel leader Luthen Rael, in order to disguise his Fondor Haulcraft from an Imperial patrol that apprehended him above the planet Segra Milo, used an Alderaan Trade Alliance transponder ID. Rael's Fondor Droid Mod generated the ID 12912505, which successfully passed a check performed by a crew member aboard the Imperial Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser. Although Rael's ship was identified as belonging to the Alderaan Trade Alliance, the Imperial Captain Elk nonetheless attempted to board the vessel, leading to Rael battling the Imperial forces and escaping.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Alderaan Trade Alliance was mentioned in "Daughter of Ferrix,"[1] the eleventh episode of the first season of the live-action Disney+ television series Andor, which aired on November 16, 2022.[4]
