The Aldera Alps were a chain of snow-capped mountains on the planet Alderaan. The city of Aldera, which notably housed the Royal Palace of Alderaan, was nestled between those mountains and a lake.[3] In 0 BBY,[1] the Alps were destroyed lost along with the rest of Alderaan when Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin used the Death Star to fire upon the planet.[2]
