Alan Hume (October 16, 1924 - July 14, 2010)[1] was a British cinematographer who worked as the director of photography for 1983's Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.

His early credits as camera operator included David Lean's films and the comedy franchise Carry On, eventually serving as a regular director of photography in the 1960s. After Return of the Jedi, Hume was the director of photography for several more films, including those of the James Bond franchise.
