An aerial bombardment was a tactic utilized by the naval forces of the Galactic Republic. During the First Battle of Geonosis, Geonosians were unable to deploy more of Nantex-class territorial defense starfighters due to an aerial bombardment of Geonosian launch hives by Acclamator-class assault ships commanded by the Jedi Grand Master Yoda that took place during the arena rescue.[1]
