A species of primitive creatures were native to the planet Abednedo, in the Colonies region of the galaxy, where they lived in series of interconnected underground tunnels. Their mouth tendrils were sensory organs that helped them navigate in the dark. Eventually, they evolved into the sentient Abednedo species.[1]

Behind the scenes

The precursor species to the Abdenedos were first mentioned in the reference book Star Wars: Aliens of the Galaxy, which was written by Jason Fry[1] and released on August 23, 2016.[2]
