In 34 ABY,[2] Resistance spy Vi Moradi was abducted by First Order forces who identified her role in the Resistance. Interrogated by the stormtrooper Captain Cardinal, his goal soon shifted from gathering intelligence on the Resistance to learning about the past of Captain Phasma in an attempt to find a scapegoat to depose her. As a result, Moradi recounted the mission to Parnassos to Cardinal. During the interrogation, Cardinal learned of Phasma's involvement in the death of Brendol Hux, alongside the latter's son, General Armitage Hux. As a result, Cardinal attempted to assassinate Phasma out of revenge for his mentor's death, but was overpowered and nearly killed himself. Moradi then escaped, taking Cardinal with her.[1]
