A71 was the designation of an A-series assassin droid used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Battle of Jabiim. It was specially modified for service on Jabiim, presumably adapted to the planet's perpetual rainstorms.

These droids most notably killed Tae Diath, the first of the Padawan Pack to die in combat. Due to a mental link with Elora Sund, made to keep him calm and in control, they also were responsible for her demise from the psychic backlash.
