4E, nicknamed Foree, was a conical astromech droid with the emblem of Alphabet Squadron on its chassis that served the New Republic toward the end of the Galactic Civil War. The astromech droid was assigned to the T-70 X-wing starfighter flown by Yrica Quell, former New Republic pilot of Alphabet Squadron, when she returned to the New Republic from within the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing.[1]
Concurrent with the Battle of Jakku[1] in 5 ABY,[2] 4E flew with Quell when she and Kairos undertook a mission to the capital planet Coruscant in order to prevent Colonel Soran Keize of the 204th from destroying the secret databank of Emperor Palpatine that was utilized to select participants for Operation: Cinder. After the end of the war following the Battle of Jakku, Quell kept 4E while residing on Spirana.[1]
