Extended plot
The episode opens with Pastor Rob entering Mary's office and asking her if the church ever had a lock-in for the youth. She tells him that Pastor Jeff isn't into it, but he convinces her to ask him anyway. Pastor Jeff surprisingly agrees to the idea because it is exhausting to take care of an infant son and he would like some time away. They begin to plan.
Georgie is working at the laundromat when he helps out a woman named Mandy using the Washer. They hit it off well and start chatting. She had come back from her job as a weather reporter and is living at home. She throws her clothing in and Georgie promises to not look, although he still does.
At home, Mary tells Sheldon and Missy about the lock-in and that they have to go. They are against it; Missy finds out there will be boys there and decide to go. Mary convinces Sheldon to go by letting him spy on people for her to enforce the rules during the lock-in.
Back at the Laundromat, Mandy asks Georgie about removing wine stains out of rayon, and he tells her to soak it, though he then admits that he doesn't actually know. They then continue to bond, with Mandy revealing that she came back because her boss, the station manger who was also her boyfriend, broke up with her. As a result, Mandy was then replaced by Scott's new girlfriend as the weather girl. The two agree to go to dinner, but Georgie lies about his age and says he's 21 (he's actually 17).
Mary asks George to chaperone, but he says no. She takes Missy and Sheldon to the lock-in, where Pastor Jeff tells her that he already confiscated shaving cream, stink bombs, and a DVD called Dirty Dancing. He comments that all dancing is dirty and leads everyone in a prayer. Sheldon comments saying God can't hear them because he does not exist; the group says amen on more time for Sheldon.
The people at the lock-in watch Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. Billy tells Missy that if she gets scared, he will be there. Pastor Jeff] leaves, saying the baby has a fever. Peg offers to help, but Mary convinces her to stay. Peg then calls dibs if they find booze.
Mary, Pastor Rob, and Peg begin confiscating things. Pastor Jeff takes a water balloon from Billy's bag. Mary takes Sassy Magazine from Missy and her friends; She had it hidden behind a copy of Christian teen; Mary tells her that she is Missy's mother and she knows her daughter. Missy notices Sheldon snitching on everyone and walks up to him and asks if they can join in playing Sardines; this was the game where one person hides and everyone else hides. Sheldon goes to hide and Billy starts counting to 20. Missy asks why he is counting, and Billy doesn't know.
Meemaw calls George and asks him if his power is out. He says they are fine and offers to go over or have her come over. She says no, so they hang up. She goes to get dinner, where she spies Georgie and Mandy together. Chloe the server comes and gives them cocktails. She slyly is concerned about the age difference and regardless covers for him their age.
George calls Tom to get a drink, only to end up running into Brenda. Things are awkward, but Tom buys a round of beer. While he is gone, George and Brenda admit they went to the bar to avoid each other. When Tom gets back, Brenda tells him about Billy. He remembers him from poker night and says he loves that kid. As Tom gets more beer, George decides to leave. Brenda thinks he is mad at her, but he says that is not the case.
Elsewhere, Georgie and Mandy are making out in a car after their dinner date, and the latter confesses that she is actually 29 years old instead of 25, having lied about her age earlier. Georgie appears that he's going to tell her the truth as well (that he's 17 instead of 21), but instead says he's totally fine with it.
Meanwhile, Mary and Pastor Rob go to put away the forbidden goodies when they discover hidden cigarettes left behind by Peg. That night, they bond over being secret smokers and decide to indulge. They continue to talk and recall how they began smoking. As they talk and smoke outside, they are spotted by George, who had gone to the church to surprise Mary, who drives off in dismay at the sight.
The episode ends with the kids getting ready for bed and Sheldon asleep while hiding and Adult Sheldon saying that night was the start of a long streak of winning sardines and he is the king of sardines.
