The V.Reader is a learning toy released by VTech in 2010. It is designed to read books off of Storybook Cartridges.

Description

The device is a tablet with a touch screen, 2 buttons to turn the page forward or back, a QWERTY keyboard, volume buttons, and a power button. There are 2 different models. On the original model (the one pictured), the keyboard is part of the touchscreen, as are the buttons above it. It has a see-through cover with a cutout to press the page buttons. The power button is on the top of this model. The newer version makes the keyboard and buttons above it actual buttons. The power button is now on the front of the device, instead of on top, and the cover is no longer see-through. This version also moves the SD card slot outside of the battery compartment.
