Laser 3000 Personal Computer was a clone of the Apple IIe and released in 1982.
Compatibility
The system's compatibility with other software made for the Apple IIe is mostly decent, with a few games such as Choplifter, David's Midnight Magic, and Serpentine did not run. Borderbund's copy protection caused some of their games to not function properly on the Laser 3000 without modifying the game itself to bypass the copy protection.
Trivia
- Retail price was $499 in some print ads
- The internal operating system used is Apple DOS 3.3, which has been slightly modified to remove any trademarked assets from Apple.
