The Zygia system was located in the Manda sector,[1] a part of the Slice portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] The hyperlane known as the Manda Merchant Route linked it to the Holess system as well as the Thoran system[2] in the Bothan sector.[1]

The Zygia system shared its name with the Zygian Savings and Loan,[3] a bank located on the celestial body Treylon II[4] in the Colonies,[5] as well as its branch on the Outer Rim Territories planet Tatooine, the Zygian's Banking Concern.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Zygia system was established in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square R-14.[2]
