- "There once was a Heep-heep from Zrak
Who found himself in a crack
The harder he tried
To remove his backside
The deeper he sank and that's that!" - ―A poem
A short poem about a Heep-heep male noted Zrak as his point of origin. In the poem, the Heep-heep became stuck in a crack.[1]
Behind the scenes
Zrak was introduced in Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas.
Zrak was mentioned in the 1993 book Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a publication that combines creature designs and photographs from various projects of George Lucas, creator of the Star Wars franchise, with original text by Bob Carrau.[1] Lucasfilm employee Leland Chee, who maintains the Holocron continuity database, has indicated that information contained in Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas is non-canonical[2] with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3] However, the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas and its StarWars.com Online Companion built upon the mention of Zrak by introducing the Zrak system, which was situated in the Nijune sector,[4] a part of the New Territories portion of[5] the Outer Rim Territories.[4]
