The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

The sun[6] of the Ziost system[1] was located up north within the Stygian Caldera nebula[2] in the Sith Worlds region.[1] It constituted a part of the Esstran sector[3] in the Trans-Hydian portion[2] of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Along with the rest of its system, the star was situated along the Nache Bhelfia hyperlane[2] and was orbited, albeit distantly, by the planet Ziost[4] as well as its two moons.[5]

During a mission to Ziost[4] in 3640 BBY,[7] in the afternoon the star appeared a faded orange color from the surface as the air was dry and gritty with tiny particles of dirt and dust swept along by the breeze.[4] Shortly before the Invasion of Ziost, the sun was a bright blue color, but appeared white from the surface.[8] Due to the effects of the Sith Lord Vitiate's Force ritual following the invasion[5] in 3636 BBY,[9] the color of the star changed to greenish-yellow, though it appeared to be a pale brown from the surface of Ziost.[5]

Ziost's sun first appeared in the Aaron Allston's 2007 novel Legacy of the Force: Exile, the fourth volume of the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series.[6] It was first pictured in the Star Wars: The Old Republic: Shadow of Revan expansion as part of the Game Update 3.2: Rise of the Emperor that introduced the planet Ziost to the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[8] Although the Ziost system, and therefore its sun, was listed as being located in grid square R-5 in the Appendix section of The Essential Atlas, the book's map of the Sith Worlds placed it within square R-4,[2] which was repeated in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the book.[1] This article assumes the book's Appendix section is erroneous and that R-4 is the correct square.
