The Z2 Stun Baton was a model of stun baton manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. A one-handed blunt weapon, the Z2 was built from heavily reinforced polymer with conductive alloy striking surfaces. Upon contact with organic beings, it could deliver a concentrated stun blast that was often completely unexpected and capable of rendering a target unconscious quickly and effectively. The weapon resembled a regular police baton and was used against offenders by riot police, as well as criminal enforcers, on many planets. During the Galactic Civil War, the Z2 cost two hundred credits and could be located for purchase with an average amount of difficulty.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Z2 Stun Baton was mentioned in the 2019 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Gadgets and Gear, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The Z2 stun baton originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games.[2]
