The Ruurian Slyyth referred to the Z'gag as part of the exclamation "By the Z'gag" when encountering Ezra Bridger on the planet Lothal[1] in 5 BBY.[2]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Z'gag was first mentioned in the 2014 novel The Rebellion Begins, which was written by Michael Kogge.[1] In the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, players can discovered a pink and black paint scheme for the droid BD-1 titled "Z'gag Wave" in a chest in the Great Divide on the planet Bogano.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Z'gag was a river on the planet Ruuria, homeworld of the Ruurians.[4]
