Yuuzhan Vong paratroopers were Yuuzhan Vong soldiers trained to jump from special coralcraft onto a planet's surface, using silken canopies to slow their descent. While on Yuuzhan'tar, Jacen Solo and Vergere saw a mass paratrooper drop, which Jacen initially mistook for a training exercise. Actually, the paratroopers were searching for him.
