- "On Yn, the Jedi had laid siege to an Imperial stronghold. Tulak Hord broke the siege single-handedly!"
- ―Khem Val
Yn was a planet located within the Yn system of the Inner Rim.[1] Around 5300 BBY,[3] the Jedi laid siege to an Imperial stronghold at the battle of Yn. Tulak Hord, Ortan Cela, Khem Val, and Veshikk Urk[4] broke the siege with their army of dark side warriors. Hord and Khem Val fed on the energies of the fallen Force-users using an ancient Sith ritual.[5] Millennia later, Yn was represented in the New Republic Senate by Wwebyls, a tiny humanoid.[6]

Star Wars: The Old Republic — Codex: "Force-walking" establishes that Ergast attempted Tulak Hord's ritual 300 years after Tulak Hord himself. Additionally,
Star Wars: The Old Republic — Codex: "Monument to Lord Ergast" states that Ergast was among the Sith who first permanently settled Dromund Kaas, which occurred in 4980 BBY per Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia. Thus, Hord's use of the ritual at Chabosh, and by extension the battles of Yn and Chabosh, occurred around 5300 BBY.
