This article is about the enslaved individual. You may be looking for the letter.

Yirt was an individual enslaved by the Rakata species's Infinite Empire and the pack leader of a group of enslaved Force-sensitive children. Yirt had gray skin, white teeth, black hair, and white eyes, and like the other enslaved children, Yirt was tattooed with a green letter from the Aurebesh alphabet—in their case, the letter Yirt—on their forehead[1] and limbs.[2]

Yirt obtained the position of pack leader through strength and aggression, but when the child tried to pick on a young Human named Xesh, another enslaved individual, Trill, defended Xesh and used the Force to throw Yirt across the cell. Having been challenged and defeated, Yirt was left at the mercy of the other enslaved children, who attacked their former tormentor as Trill and Xesh retreated to another corner of the cell.[1]

Behind the scenes

Yirt appeared in a flashback in Dawn of the Jedi: The Prisoner of Bogan 2, the second issue of the The Prisoner of Bogan story arc of the Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi comic book series. The issue was authored by John Ostrander, illustrated by Jan Duursema,[1] and published on December 19, 2012.[3]
